Prometheus invests in small and micro retail businesses by providing comprehensive solution to micro-entrepreneurs in the East African, lowering the barriers to entrepreneurship, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing income and livelihoods.
Equipment as an Investment
To address the need for startup capital among micro-entrepreneurs to purchase commercial equipment, we do not directly invest cash.
Instead, we provide micro-entrepreneurs with cost-effective and easy-to-maintain hardware equipment, using the equipment as an investment to participate in the operation and revenue generation of micro-economies.
This promotes income growth for micro-entrepreneurs and empowers the standardization and scaling of their businesses.
Revenue Share Contract
We are neither equity investor nor debt lenders.
We engage in revenue sharing based on a certain percentage of the entrepreneur's daily business income ("Daily/Monthly Revenue Contract"); and flexibly adjusts the collection and distribution mechanism in real-time according to actual operational conditions and changes in the external environment.
Investment Focus
We focus on franchising retail business in high-frequency, small-amount consumption scenarios, which align with the rapidly growing consumer demand of eastern African market.
We starts with the most widely demanded products—cold drinks, water, and ice—gradually expanding into the broader food and beverage industry, and eventually covering other retail chain formats.
